Did you send me a selfie stick?

A couple of days ago, I got a package in the mail.

Inside was a selfie stick.

I did not order a selfie stick.

I’m assuming it was supposed to be a holiday gift, given the timing, because the package had my name and address on it, so it wasn’t the neighbor’s mail. I guess it’s a gift from the universe, because there was no note, no receipt, nothing to indicate who it was from.

I checked my computer to make sure I hadn’t blacked out and impulse-purchased something I already own. Because yes, I already have a selfie stick.

Many years ago, I was visiting a friend who pulled one out and I remember thinking: this is the cringiest thing I have ever seen.
Fast forward to the end of the day: she got stunning photos, captured real moments, and we looked kinda great. I was converted. Lesson learned: never get too high-horsey about what’s “cringe.” Life will humble you. Quickly.

So of course I got my own right away, and I’ve had my trusty old selfie stick for years.

But this new one?
Next level.

It’s heavier. Sturdier. One of those sleek modern ones with a magnet instead of a clip. No fumbling. No awkward wrestling with your phone. Just a clean, elegant click, and suddenly everything is more stable.

I’m on a mission to figure out who sent it.
Was it a friend who wants me to make more Instagram reels? Nope.
My brother, who recently asked me to record a video? Also no.

I still have no fucking idea who sent me this thing.

But I’m kind of delighted.

I’m telling you this random-ass story for two reasons.

First: You never know which tool, practice, or skill you once dismissed, rolled your eyes at, judged, or thought “that’s not for me”, might actually make your life dramatically better.

Exhibit A: the selfie stick.

Second: Sometimes you receive an upgrade before you consciously know you’re ready for one.

We love to believe we know exactly what we need.
We love to think clarity comes first, and then support follows.

But just as often, life hands us something useful before we’ve named the shift that’s already underway internally.

So whether I ever find out who sent that selfie stick or not, I’m choosing to take it as confirmation that something in my life is already changing: becoming steadier, more supported, more aligned.

Not everything needs to be dramatic to be meaningful.

As we move through this intense end-of-year season, remember to pay attention to what’s quietly getting easier. Notice what shows up without you forcing it. Let yourself receive help even when it doesn’t arrive in the form you expected.

Sometimes the next step reveals itself that way.

I hope you find some rest in the coming days, and that you give yourself permission to trust the small signs that tell you you’re on the right path.

Courage, truth, and infinite love,

PS. If you didn’t send me the selfie stick but know someone who would appreciate this story, feel free to forward it.

I don’t believe in magic, but I know that it works!

Magic is not a belief system, it’s a practice that works. Don’t believe me? Come try it out. If it doesn’t work, you lose nothing. But if it does… your dream life is about to begin!

Solstice is around the corner, and every year, without fail, I celebrate on the 21st of December (or June). Is that the exact moment the Solstice hits? Not always. Do I care? Absolutely not. It’s funny because I’m incredibly precise about the exact moment the full or new moon peaks. But with Solstice, I’ve never bothered with the astronomical exactness. I choose the 21st out of pure habit, and honestly…it just makes me happy. So that’s the day my magic happens. This year, my ritual will...

Let me tell you something I wish more people would say out loud: The idea that you just need to “heal your money wounds” and poof, you’ll suddenly become a millionaire, is absolute, unfiltered bullshit. It is. I’m not denying the truth that many of us have had to do deep internal work around money, safety, comfort, survival mode, and all the emotional noise that lives under our bank accounts. I’ve had to do that work too. It mattered. It changed me. It changed the way I move and the amount of...

I know that many people are kind of weary (to not say scared) of witches. But I didn’t expect someone planted firmly in the middle of woo-woo-land to feel that way. I was talking with someone about potentially coming on her podcast, which is all about magic and intuition and past-life readings and Akashic Records, you know, nothing that seems too mainstream in my opinion, but what do I know. She seemed lovely, thoughtful, smart, and genuinely trying to bring something meaningful into the...
