Before you cast a love (or any kind of) spell, ask yourself this.

Hi Reader,

People ask me all the time: How do I cast a spell to find love?

And every time, I think:
Are you asking about the easy part or the part that actually makes it work?"

The easy part:
You can simply google “spell for a romantic partner” and you’ll get a bunch of ideas for things like get pink candles, anoint them with rose oil, write your perfect-partner list in red ink, charge rose quartz under the full moon, blah, blah, blah.

Perfectly fine love spell, but more likely than not, it will not work.

Why?

Because magic is not like a vending machine. Put in a coin (or in this case, light a candle, say some words), and voilà—your heart’s desire appears.

It’s more like a recipe.

Let’s say you’re making a cake. You can have the flour, eggs, sugar, and butter—all the right ingredients. You can follow the instructions to a T.

But what happens if your oven isn’t on?

Nothing. Nothing happens.

No baking, no rising, no transformation.

You’re just standing there with a bunch of raw ingredients wondering why you don’t have cake.

Energy is the oven.

Without it, your spell is just… stuff. Herbs, words, wax. Nothing more.

And this is where most people go wrong.

They’re so focused on what to do—what color candle to use, what phase of the moon is best, what deity to call on—that they forget the most important part, the part that makes the spell work: their own energy.

Because the truth is, you could do a love spell with nothing but a clear intention and a strong, focused will, and it would work better than an elaborate ritual that’s missing the heat to power it.

So if you’ve ever cast a spell and it didn’t work, ask yourself this:

  • Were you in a powerful emotional and energetic state when you did it? Or were you feeling desperate, anxious, or doubtful? Magic is amplified by certainty and embodiment.
  • Did you charge the spell with your own energy? Did you take time to breathe, focus, and direct your intention, or did you just go through the motions?
  • Are you actually in alignment with what you’re asking for?

More specifically:

  • Am I radiating the energy of love, or the energy of loneliness?
  • Do I actually believe I’m worthy of the love I desire?
  • Am I holding onto old wounds that block what I’m trying to attract?

Because if your energy isn’t fully open to receive, no amount of candles, crystals, or moon phases will fix that.

The good news? This is something you can fix.

Magic isn’t about the color candle you choose or the phase of the moon.

It’s about energy work. And if you don’t know how to work with energy, you’re in for a treat, because this is simply a skill that can be learned. And with this skill you understand the deep mechanics of transformation—not just the surface rituals.

If you’re ready to stop wasting time on spells that fizzle out and start making magic that actually changes your life, you need to learn how to work with your energy first.

This is exactly what I teach in my work, because I don’t believe in empty rituals. I believe in real transformation. For an intro to energy work, check out my mini-course Essentials of Spiritual Wellness.

You can learn the basics of working with energy in 90 minutes, for under what you spend on that “quick Target run” that somehow turned into $100, from the comfort of your own laptop or phone.

Hope to see you there.

Courage, truth, and infinite love,

I don’t believe in magic, but I know that it works!

Magic is not a belief system, it’s a practice that works. Don’t believe me? Come try it out. If it doesn’t work, you lose nothing. But if it does… your dream life is about to begin!

Hi Reader, Birth, death, and rebirth are the natural order of life. They’re not optional. They’re not metaphors. They are Reality—with a capital R. Everything that lives follows this rhythm.People. Plants. Animals. Ecosystems. Beliefs. Movements. Organizations. Even economies. And yet, we’ve built a world that clings to only one part of the cycle: birth and growth. The rise. The expansion. The illusion of limitless “more.” We try to skip the death part entirely. We pretend endings are failures....

Dear Reader, Two days ago, around 10 a.m., I stepped outside and looked up at the sky.She looked unreal. Not metaphorically—literally.A perfect crescent moon, drawn with such precision it felt like someone had painted her there.Hanging in the South, her round edge facing East. So flawless, so still. And she’d be gone by the weekend. Something about that moment hit me.Staring at that moon—the same one I’ve been looking at for half a century—every cell in my body whispered a truth I couldn’t...

Hey Reader, Have you ever found yourself completely shocked and pissed off when someone does the exact opposite of what they are supposed to stand for? Maybe it was the feminist leader who made blatantly sexist comments in a staff meeting. Or the director of a financial empowerment nonprofit who turned out to be stealing money. Or the spiritual guide who preached integrity and alignment, and turned out to be involved in some sleazy scandal. It doesn’t just feel wrong—it feels personal. You...
