What if the thing you’re fixing isn’t the problem?

I want to end the year by sharing with you what I believe is the secret to life, and, yes, to getting everything you want.

It’s spiritual connection.

But before you roll your eyes or light a candle or wonder if this is about belief or faith or vibes, let me slow this way down, because what the fuck does that actually mean?

As it turns out, at least for me, in the life I’ve lived, in this incarnation, in my lineage and in my practice, there is a very specific way to connect spiritually.
To ourselves.
To reality.
To whatever we might call the divine, or creation, or even whatever sits behind creation.

In modern times, this specific way to connect spiritually can be called a system, or a framework, or a methodology, meaning that it's not a gift from the heavens for a few chosen ones. It has zero to do with belief. Because whether you believe it works or whether you don't believe it works, it fucking works.

And it also has nothing to do with you. In other words, you “being the problem” is never the problem.

Let me say that again, because this matters:

You being the problem is never the problem.

Here’s an example.

If, when you turned sixteen, someone put you in a car and told you to drive across the country, chances are you wouldn’t be able to. Not because you have a “block” with driving. Not because you haven’t done enough inner work to be a good driver. Not because you’re a personal failure who should have started learning at age nine.

Only because no one taught you the mechanics of how to make the car go forward. Yet.

Yes, some people turn out to be better drivers than others. Some people are worse. But driving is not rocket science. Most people can learn how to get from their kid’s daycare to the office to the grocery store without causing a head-on collision.

Magic is the same.

The point of magic is not that you’re gifted and therefore special and everything is easier for you. Magic is a technology for transformation. It can be learned by anyone.

And if you haven’t been able to transform your reality in the ways you long for, chances are very high that no one ever taught you how.

I have an entire sociopolitical analysis of why this is the case. The short version?
If we all actually knew how to transform our reality, how to use our power (our ability to make things happen), the system as we know it would collapse. The neoliberal, capitalistic, white-supremacist, misogynistic, patriarchal system would not survive. And the three tech bros currently hoarding the cash would have to give it back, because it was never theirs to begin with.

But I digress.

All of this is to say:
If in 2026 you are ready to perfect the skill and master the craft of transforming your reality using ancient technology, you’re in the right place.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for coming along for a year of weekly magical musings. I’m deeply excited for what’s coming in 2026: more explicit tools, more practical teachings, and more ways to reclaim your power so that we can reclaim our world.

Happy New Year.

Courage, truth, and infinite love,

I don’t believe in magic, but I know that it works!

Magic is not a belief system, it’s a practice that works. Don’t believe me? Come try it out. If it doesn’t work, you lose nothing. But if it does… your dream life is about to begin!

A couple of days ago, I got a package in the mail. Inside was a selfie stick. I did not order a selfie stick. I’m assuming it was supposed to be a holiday gift, given the timing, because the package had my name and address on it, so it wasn’t the neighbor’s mail. I guess it’s a gift from the universe, because there was no note, no receipt, nothing to indicate who it was from. I checked my computer to make sure I hadn’t blacked out and impulse-purchased something I already own. Because yes, I...

Solstice is around the corner, and every year, without fail, I celebrate on the 21st of December (or June). Is that the exact moment the Solstice hits? Not always. Do I care? Absolutely not. It’s funny because I’m incredibly precise about the exact moment the full or new moon peaks. But with Solstice, I’ve never bothered with the astronomical exactness. I choose the 21st out of pure habit, and honestly…it just makes me happy. So that’s the day my magic happens. This year, my ritual will...

Let me tell you something I wish more people would say out loud: The idea that you just need to “heal your money wounds” and poof, you’ll suddenly become a millionaire, is absolute, unfiltered bullshit. It is. I’m not denying the truth that many of us have had to do deep internal work around money, safety, comfort, survival mode, and all the emotional noise that lives under our bank accounts. I’ve had to do that work too. It mattered. It changed me. It changed the way I move and the amount of...
